Making stuff together…

Apple capacity

Well, I think we finally have all the apples off the trees on the plot. This last weekend, the 1st and 2nd of November, we gathered apples from the trese and the ground on the plot, probably enough for another 10+ litres of cider I’d imagine. We are officially at Apple Capacity!

We also, as Arwen mentioned, put a bunch of wood chips down in between our raised beds, did some weeding, and set one raised bed up as a broad bean bed, in the no-dig style. Will be interesting to see if our beanlets survive the winter; according to what I read, they ought to, but I’ve never grown stuff over the winter before. Having said that, winters have been particularly mild in recent memory, so who knows!

We were also visited by two Red Kites. Lovely.
